Okorocha’s son slumps, hospitalized overseas

About the same period President Muhammadu Buhari’s son was hospitalized after a bike accident, Okorocha’s son slumps, hospitalized overseas, the first son of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Aham Brendan Okorocha also took ill and has been flown overseas for urgent medical attention.

This was disclosed Sunday afternoon at Uburu, Ebonyi state at the country home of former Governor of old Abia state and serving minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu during the all important South East zonal meeting of the All Progressive Congress (APC)

It was observed that the Imo state chairman of the APC, Chief Hilary Eke was the only state chairman of the party missing at the event while Governor Okorocha’s conspicuous absence was excused by the host, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

While presenting his goodwill message to the party leaders, Onu explained the absence of Okorocha who is also the Chairman, Progressive Governors’ Forum.

He said, “I had been in communication with Governor Okorocha and he had assured me that he would attend this meeting but sometime last week, the Governor called me to explain that he may not be able to attend afterall as his son had taken ill and had been hospitalized in a London.”

Onu thereafter prayed for the quick recovery of Aham Okorocha.

Government House sources, however, confirmed that during the Christmas week, Aham Okorocha, a first Class Engineer, had slumped and had to be rushed off to the hospital and subsequently flown overseas for treatment accompanied by the Governor and the Imo First lady.

It is not yet certain what ails the governor’s son, but a source in Government House said it may be connected to his slimming therapy.
