MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION—CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI CELEBRATES 54TH BIRTHDAY AMIDST CRITICISM

The 54^th birthday celebration of the out-going Minister of Transportation Rt. Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi held at Aztec Arcum event Center Port Harcourt Rivers State came at a time when eminent Nigerians while in Port Harcourt gave him several knocks in his failure for not delivery his political party All Progressives Congress-APC to participating in the just concluded 2019 General Elections in Rivers state.

The celebrant who was thrilled by the huge turn-out of friends and well-wishers who showed up at the event proper was delighted as dignitaries and high profile A-list guests used the opportunity of his 54^th birthday celebration to appreciate his efforts in making Rivers state what it is today through the execution of landmark legacy projects while in office as executive Governor.

www.towncrier.ng gathered that the 54^th birthday was packaged by the Minister’s political associates who are occupying juicy political offices such as the Chief Medical Director of University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital Professor Henry Ugboma, Professor Nelson Braimbraifa the Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission—NDDC, Acting Executive Director Finance and Administration-NDDC  Dr. Chris Oyirindah Amadi, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside Director General National Maritime Administration and Safety –Agency- NIMASA.

The City of Port Harcourt also played host to  Peoples Democratic Party—PDP National Leaders who attended 2^ndTerm Inaugural Lecture organized by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. The 2019 Vice Presidential candidate Peter Obi challenged Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi over his comment that in 2023 Igbos will not be President of Nigeria. Similarly the Senate President Olusola Saraki thanked Rivers state People for the resilience in Voting for PDP and rejecting any other political party.

For Amaechi’s 54^th Birthday on May 28^th, 2019 there was a special Polo Tournament game held at Port Harcourt Polo Club Playground in honour of the Transportation Minister. Generally Rivers state All Progressive Congress-APC members who are loyal to Magnus Ngei Abe were conspicuously absent at the birthday ceremony. The crowd of dignitaries were thrilled when a list of Rivers state great political leaders who benefitted from political leadership of Amaechi from his years as Speaker 1999 to 2007 to include Tele Ikuru his former Deputy Governor, his former Chief of Staff and incumbent Governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike, Hon. Dr. Chidi Lloyd, Hon. Dr Ben Enyindah, Hon. Igo Aguma et al.
