Rivers West PDP Senator Osinakachukwu Ideozor Set To Decamp To APC

It is now exclusively confirmed by www.towncrier.ng that the distinguished Senator representing Rivers West senatorial District Senator Osinakachukwu Ideozor barring any unforeseen circumstances has made up his mind and body to defect to All Progressive Congress-APC thereby saying goodbye to Peoples Democratic Party-PDP the political party he had used since 1999 as a platform to be first elected into Rivers state House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives  representing Abua/Odual-Ahoada East Federal Constituency and currently in 2015 elected as senator representing Rivers West where he defeated APC candidate and former Speaker Rivers State House of Assembly Dan Otelemaba Amachree. This Estate Management graduate of Rivers State University of Science and Technology now Rivers state University Port Harcourt is said to have been sidelined by Governor of Rivers state Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who he had worked with as Commissioner for Finance  in ex Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s first tenure in office while Wike was Chief of Staff.

It has been a tortuous moment for Senator Osinaka Ideozor since the conclusion of Rivers state 23 Local Government Councils election organized by Rivers state Independent Electoral Commission-RVSIEC in June, 2018. The Rivers West Senator did not contribute a single candidate as Chairmen and ordinary Councilors in his own senatorial District which comprises of Grand Bonny Island LGA, Degema LGA, Akuku Toru , Asari Toru, Abua /Odual, Ahoada East, Ahoada West and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Areas. With his defection to APC it will be a clean sweep for the party as the three Senators will now be members of APC.

Recent events that had taken place in Rivers state Senator Osinakchukwu Ideozor was conspicuously missing even in the two months spent by Governor Wike in commissioning several projects did not see real action by Senator Ideozor. His battle to return to the upper red Chamber of the 8^th national Assembly is being threatened with the expression of interest in the Rivers West Senatorial seat by Augustine Nwaokocha the former Commissioner for Power during ex Governor Amaechi’s 2^nd tenure and former member Rivers State House of Assembly representing one of the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni state Constituencies.
