Day 3 of Protests: Parts of Rivers in Darkness, vow to continue

Twin protests against PHEDC by host communities to Afam Power Plant as Workers plunge parts of Rivers State into darknessĀ

Some parts of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital are now without power supply due to twin agitations against the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHEDC, Transmission Company of Nigeria,TCN and other stakeholders by Oyigbo people, the host to Afam Power Plant and the protest by workers of PHEDC over lack of conditions of service.

Protests have continued  entered Day three today, Friday, by indigenes of Oyigbo local government area against the TCN, PHEDC and other multinationals over the two months power outage in the Local Government Area.

Day 3 of twin protests against power supply companies plunge some parts of Rivers in darkness.

The protesters by Oyigbo people and hosts to Afam Power Plant, have vowed to sustain the protest till the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company restores power supply and various Governments give attention to the deplorable roads to the Afam Power Plant and other roads in the Local Government Area.
