Man mobilize touts to beat up church members after one of them danced suggestively with his girlfriend during a church event

A yet to be identified man on Sunday, 14, 2018, mobilized touts to beat up members of Fogofoluwa Cherubim and Seraphim Church on Gbadamosi Close, Pako area of Baruwa, Ipaja, after one of them danced suggestively with his girlfriend during a church service.
Recounting what happened, some of the victims said the incident happened between 7:00pm and 9:30pm of the said day. The church was celebrating one of their members who had just returned from trance when two youths started to fight over a girl

One of the youths at the event was said to have attacked a boy for dancing suggestively with his girlfriend.
This led to a fight during which the girl’s boyfriend was brutalized and he left the event only for him to return with over 100 touts. They attacked everyone in sight.
The touts used dangerous weapons like broken bottle and cutlass to attack themselves and innocent bystander. They also allegedly moved from house to house attacking residents who were sitting outside their homes and disposed them of their valuables.
It took the intervention of the Iyana Ipaja police command for peace to return to the community. They succeeded in arresting some of the touts but were released on bail following the intervention of the community leaders
Some of the victims are still in the hospital receiving treatments.
