EZE ANIELE ORLU ORIEBE DIDNT DIE OF COVID-19 -FAMILY

BY ERIC OLUSESAN

The family of Orlu Oriebe Rumuadobo in Ozuoba, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area has condemned a statement credited to the Rivers State Government that their son and late Paramount Ruler of Akpor Kingdom His Royal Majesty, Eze Aniele Orlu Oriebe died of COVID 19.

Elder Kingsley Kinika Orlu, who spoke unbehalf of the family  said the results of all the tests conducted on late Eze Orlu Oriebe did not show that he had COVID-19 as claimed by the Rivers State Government. He said it is a taboo for a traditional ruler of Akpor to be buried outside his kingdom.
Elder Kingsley Kinika Orlu also narrated how he was made to sign a report by the Rivers State Government that his brother Eze Aniele Orlu Oriebe died of COVID 19.

Also speaking, Janet Orlu, wife of late Eze Aniele Orlu Oriebe and her daughter Josephine Orlu alleged that the late Eze died as a result of negligence by the management of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
