OPM Free Specialist Hospital Delivers 549 Babies

*N1m cash gift to staff the Free Specialist Hospital

The Port Harcourt center of the Omega Power Ministry free specialist Hospital has within a year of her medical services in Rivers State, delivered 549 babies out of which 19 were twins. The babies were delivered by 527 mothers. 

Pregnant mother who register for free antenatal care no matter the religious denomination are offered free medical services until delivery.Even when there are complications that require Ceascaran Section, CS,the surgery is also free.

In a yearly appraisal statement by the Church Public Relations Officer, PRO,Gogo-Ogute Isaiah said that Antenatal records of the hospital made available by the Director of the hospital, Dr. Mrs E. W. Ugboma, indicated that 1,179 women were registered within a year under review. 
“As at Sunday 19th July 2020, 646 pregnant women are still undergoing free antenatal care services, expected to deliver soonest.

“Further registration of more pregnant mothers to undergo free antenatal care services is still ongoing as the Church depend solely on the members and intending members Tithes and Offerings to bankroll the administrative cost of the hospital and medical expenses of the beneficiaries”. 

Still on one year anniversary celebration,on Saturday, July 18, 2020 of the OPM free specialist Hospital, National Youth Service Corps NYSC, members serving in the free hospital were awarded them all expenses paid scholarship to either United Kingdom or Poland.

Miss Benson Godshelp, an indegene of Bayelsa state and a graduate of University of Calabar who was also given the opportunity to speak narrated the poverty she was born into, according to her she is the first graduate from both her paternal and maternal families. Her widowed mother who is a farmer struggled to see her through school.

 Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere,the General Overseer,OPM Worldwide prayed for Corps member and announced the award of  all expense paid scholarship to them. .

The corp members who were given the options of working in the UK or furthering their studies in Poland couldnt believe their ears and were so excited that they cried tears of joy. 

Apostle Chibuzor said that their visa processing begins immediately.

He  thanked them for the diligence and hardwork put in by the staff of the free specialist Hospital and commended them for their professional human relations.

On behalf of the staff and management of the free Hospital, the MD of the free specialist Hospital, Dr. Mrs E. Ugboma appreciated Apostle Chibuzor for investing in lives and saving the lives of pregnant women by founding the free specialist Hospital.
