ADAMAWA STATE CHIEF OF STAFF, PROF. MAXWELL M. GIDADO GETS DAN MASANIN GANYE II, CHIEFTAINCY AWARD

The current serving Chief of STAFF to Adamawa state Government, Professor Maxwell M. GIDADO has been honoured with Dan Masanin Ganye II traditional chieftaincy title  by the Traditional Ruler the Gangwari II, Dr. Umaru Adamu Sanda OON, FIAM of Ganye in Ganye Local Government Area of  Adamawa state.The turbanning ceremony has been slated to take place on Saturday, 27th of November, 2021. And the venue is the Gangwari Ganye’s Palace of the traditional ruler.

Professor Maxwell M. GIDADO is a Senior Advocate of NIGERIA, SAN and a legal luminary who has held appointments as one of the most Senior Lecturers at University of Maiduguri where he also read Law with  LL. B (Hons) at age 23 years in 1983. He earned Masters’ of Law degree LL.M and Doctoral PhD degree in Law all from Warwick University in  England United Kingdom in 1987 and 1992 respectively. And subsequently, having performed his mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps scheme  NYSC at  A.D Arulogun & Co Chambers a firm of legal practitioners at Port Harcourt the  Rivers State capital in 1984. In 1995 he was appointed Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Adamawa state. He also got appointment in 1999 as Senior Special Assistant to the President and Commander- In- Chief of the Armed Forces ,President Olusegun Obasanjo on Legal and Constitutional Matters. In 2003 he was called to perform same duty in the office of the  Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria. Again, he was Secretary to the Constitutional Review Committee. Thereafter, he served as Assistant Director (Academic)at NIGERIA’s Advanced Legal Education, NIGERIA Law School Bwari ABUJA from  January 1999 to June 1999. This Sugu, Ganye Local Government Area born erudite Professor of Law, became Special Assistant to the Chairman Constitutional Debate Coordinating Committee in 1998. Professor Gidado- became Dean Faculty of Law Nasarawa State University and an adjunct Lecturer at American- Abti University of Nigeria Yola , Adamawa state.Twice he has been appointed as Chief of Staff to GOVERNOR Ahmadu Fitiri of Adamawa state.For those who know this workhalic astute lawyer, he is a core Nigerian with many traditional honours from  across the Niger having been awarded with titles in the past such as Garkuwa Sugu his home town as charity begins at home.

But the golden star has no hiding place as his philanthropic gestures to People of different ethnic nationalities had attracted recognition as on December 29th, 2004 during the great Ofala Festival he was bestowed with Ikemba -1 of Ifite Ogwari, in Anambra state Eastern Nigeria. While the good people of Abia state awarded him with “Nwanne Di Na MBA -1( A brother from the town) of Ihiala Isulu Autonomous Community in Abia state of Eastern Nigeria.

In 2019, he aspired to be voted in the 9th Senate for Adamawa South Senatorial District as a loyal party man, he was persuaded to step down for the now incumbent senator.

Professor Maxwell M. GIDADO is married to Mrs. Rose Maxwell GIDADO PhD. Today, Prof. GIDADO holds National Honour of Officer of the Federal Republic of Equitorial Guinea in Central Africa region. He is a bridge that has connected many Nigerians across several social strata. As his presence ignites any environment he finds himself either as an administrator or as a disciple in the temple of Law.

Come Saturday, 27th of November, 2021 Professor Maxwell M. GIDADO will occupy a higher position in the traditional Council of the good people of GANYE of Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa state, North Eastern Nigeria.
