Ibim Semenatari Joins Vice President Osinbajo’s 2023 Consultative Team In Port Harcourt

This is one of the fallouts of All Progressives Congress-APC Rivers state chapter hosting of Vice President Professor Yemi Osibanjo’s consultative visit to Rivers state on Thursday 19th of May, 2022. As it revealed the fact that since two months ago being March, 2022 former Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers state Rt. Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s former Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim has joined Vice President Professor Yemi Osibanjo’s 2023 Presidential aspiration and jettisoned Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi her former boss who is closing in to becoming the elected President of Nigeria. Mrs. Ibim Semenitari a seasoned journalist and administrator who was appointed Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission-NDDC for a period of ten months now a Farmer and school administrator.

Mrs. Ibim Semenitari was 1997 CNN second Best Print Journalist of The Year award-winning Reporter with TELL magazine until she was appointed in 2009 as Rivers state Commissioner for Information and Communication under the then Rivers state Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Last week, this medium published why Ibim Semenitari and her former boss Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi don’t see eye- to- eye due to their so many points of disagreement one of which may not be unconnected with Ibim Semenitari’s last assignment handling of issues with NDDC which had signature and nod of Amaechi as compensation for her doggedness in playing key roles during the last two years of Amaechi’s 8-years in office from 2007 to 2015.

Today, she and her former political leader Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi have parted ways and may not find common ground of political alignment in Rivers state where her dad once held sway as deputy Governor during Dr. Peter Odili era as executive Governor from 1999 to 2007.
