Rivers 2023: Dawari George emerges Governorship candidate of Action Alliance

Dr. Dawari George has emerge as the Governorship candidate under the platform of Action Alliance, AA, at the substitution Primary held in Port-Harcourt today.

Dr. George, who is a former Chieftain of the All Progress Congress, APC and an ally of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi former Minister of Transportation but dumped the party about three weeks ago won by 93 votes to through open ballot system. 

In his acceptance speech, the Governorship candidate of Action Alliance Dr. George  said “I come to the race with Character, Competence and Commitment to work for the rapid and wholesome development of our dear State, where everyone can aspire to achieve their dreams in a serene environment, with the support of a responsive and responsible government.

Our Correspondent reports the

party’s primary election was held under the supervision of officials of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Police, Department of State Services, DSS and other observers.

Dr. George who holds a Doctorate degree in Political Science was a Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources and a federal lawmaker maker representing Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru federal Constituency during the Amaechi’s administration as Governor of Rivers State was a Governorship Aspirant under APC.
