Rivers APC Crisis: Abe, Amaechi In Settlement Plan Share Political Office Positions

With the National convention of All Progressive Congress-APC finally over and the emergence of ex Governor of Edo state Comrade Adams Oshiomole as the National Chairman there are plans for amicable settlement of the rift which ensued pre-convention over the elections of the Wards and Local Government Areas Congresses which distinguished Senator Magnus Ngei Abe and the 23 aspirants for the state Executive offices of APC in Rivers state actually did challenge the Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi led Rivers State APC before justice Chikwendu Nworgu at Port Harcourt High Court and all the results of the so-called congresses set aside by the Court in an ex Parte Motion.

The Senator Magnus Abe group in APC and Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi side may after all go for settlement out of Court for sharing formula that will advance the interest of All Progressive Congress in Rivers state. In this way www.towncrier.ng, it was gathered the Minister For transportation Amaechi may finally stick to having Ojukaye Flag Amachree as State Chairman while senator Abe goes on to clinch the Governorship position as the standard bearer of Rivers state Chapter of All Progressive Congress-APC. The Presidency it was also gathered made its input by directing the former Petroleum Minister Professor Tam David West to recommend a Deputy Governor designate from the Riverine areas of Rivers state as a way of carrying every stakeholder along in peaceful settlement of the political imbroglio that reared its ugly head during the Congresses in the state.

The political horse-trading will include allocation of positions for members of the Rivers state House of Assembly aspirants’ list and those federal House of Representatives aspirants too. But the nomination for Senatorial aspirants it was gathered will be favourable to THE MEETING Group supporters of Senator Magnus Abe as the Amaechi supporters are seeking for control of Rivers West Senatorial seat and Rivers South East senatorial districts as Senator Abe is speculated to have two people at heart for Senatorial positions from Rivers East and Rivers South East as he wants Homourable Chief Allwell Onyesoh is favoured to take up Rivers East while Oyigbo Local Government will produce senator among the 4-LGAs that made up the Rivers South East zone and Chief Felix Nwaeke a former Chairman of Oyigbo LGA and former Commissioner during Amaechi’s 8-years in office as Governor of Rivers state.

The Amaechi supporters already have Honourable Engineer Sampson Ngeregbara the Chairman of Free Rivers Development Initiatives as a replacement for senator Magnus Abe having come from Andoni Local Government Area a riverine community of Ijaw extraction but the Oyigbo people have not had any of their son or daughter being elected into Federal House of representatives, or Senate as this positions had been shared in the past by the Ogoni and Andoni –Opobo axis of Rivers state.
