“RIVERS STATE APC IS DEAD” Rt. HON. IGO AGUMA LAMENTS

CHALLENGES CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHIAND SENATOR MAGNUS ABE OVER 2023

The rancor over political office interests ravaging major ranks in Rivers state chapter of All Progressive Congress-APC has reached its crescendo as one of the stakeholders and one time member of Federal House of Representatives and Commissioner for Sports in Rivers state Rt. Honourable Igo Aguma, the son of late Chief Emma Aguma foremost Rivers state politician has come out with open statement which he titled “APC CRISES IN RIVERS STATE: SAVE OUR SOULS—AN OPENLETTER”.

He appealed to the national leadership of APC to seriously convene a meeting in which not only Senator Magnus Abe and his embroiled rival Minister of Transportation and leader of APC in the state Rt.Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi will not be the subject of such meeting but the overall interest of the party faithful. Igo Aguma in his Letter pointed at the National Chairman of APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for not taking the protracted political crises rocking Rivers state chapter of the because of the speculation of those positioning themselves for running  elections in 2023. He said “It is indeed not right for the party to treat Rivers state with levity preferring to listen to only two people while ignoring other stakeholders in the party.”

The aggrieved party loyalist and astute politician Igo Aguma didn’t mince words in describing the present condition of All Progressives Congress-APC in the as that which is “structurally dead” as said “APC Rivers state structurally is dead. The leadership of the party in the state has failed woefully. On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, a South-South emergency Caucus meeting was published to be convened by the National Vice Chairman to deal with issues bordering on Edo State APC and NDDC crises. Where was such a caucus for Rivers state APC crises leading up to the 2019 elections, who is deceiving who? APC in Rivers state cannot and should not be reduced to differences between two members of the party ignoring all other stakeholders in the party”.

The embattled party elder Igo Aguma requested that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Senator Magnus Ngei Abe should be called to Order and other stakeholders in the party should be recognized other than Amaechi and Senator Abe. He said the APC NATIONAL should expedite action in the dissolution of the current Caretaker Committee.

He suggested that APC national should conduct an inquiry into what led to APC in Rivers state not participating in the 2019 General elections of senate, Federal House of Representatives, Rivers State House of Assembly and Rivers state governorship elections.
