Rivers State Govt keep lying against, ACP Fakorede, SARS over death of Dr Ferry Gberegbe despite Court judgement declaring them innocent–Chizy Enyi

*Why has the Rivers State refused to make Public Autopsy report on late Ferry Gberegbe

*“Where is the election money that was given to him and the boys he recruited from Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnics

The President General of the Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership, Chizy Enyi Esq has berated the Rivers State Government for alleging  that the death of Ferry Gberegbe, Lecturer at Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic was caused by disbanded SARS operatives.

Chizi Enyi, a Lawyer express disappoinment that despite the judgment of Hon. Justice Enebele of the Rivers State High Court that exonerated the SARS and the then Commander, ACP Akin Fakorede.

Dr. Uche Chukwuma, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, who is Coordinator of the Rivers State Neighbourhood Watch had alleged on Saturday during his live appearance on Port Harcourt based radio Rhythm 93.7,  Viewpoint Programme, that SARS operatives caused the death of Ferry Gberegbe.

According Enyi,”We wonder why he will politicize everything, including human life despite the fact that he is aware that Rivers State Government and the family of Dr. Ferry Gberegbe conspired and took ACP Akin and the Nigeria Police Force to Court, which judgment was delivered in favour of Akin and the Nigeria Police Force.

“It is obvious, that Rivers State Government is been economical with the truth regarding the unfortunate incidents that led to the death of Ferry Gberegbe.

“Why is it that the autopsy report was not made public till today. How come the late Ferry Gberegbe was hospitalised at Saint Patrick hospital despite the Rivers State Government interest around it assuming truly it was caused by Akin Fakorede and SARS operatives?

“Where is the election money that was given to him and the boys he recruited from Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnics and other institutions. Why did they refused to properly report the murder case to the homicide section of the Nigeria Police Force and why did they refused to allow the Police witness the autopsy and the report when invited”. Chizy Enyi Esq queried.

The group said its worry is that Governor Wike is a lawyer who ought to know the position of the law on matters that judgment has been entered. The position of the law is that a decided case, should be laid to rest (RES-JUDICATA). The only ground you can talk on a matter that has been decided, is to appeal and nothing more.

The group further said “Officials of Rivers State Government including Uche Chukwuma has been estopped by the judgment of Justice Enebeli from further accusing Akin and the Nigeria Police Force of been responsible for the death of Ferry Gberegbe.

“We challenged the Rivers State Government to make public all neccesary documents relating to the death of Ferry Gberegbe and the autopsy report or remain silent forever.

Enyi further said “We have also, confirmed from the authorities of the Nigeria Police Force, that the social media reports on the dismissal of ACP Akin Fakorede as false and has no element of truth because ACP Akin Fakorede is a Police Officer who has distinguished himself and brought honour to the Nigeria Police Force.

“We hereby urge the public to disregard the bias information from the Rivers State Government Officials on the death of Ferry Gberegbe”.
