…You can’t be making calls and reading Bible.

…Some people don’t even have Bibles. These days, people are carrying phones and say Bible is in the phone. Phone Bible is for emergency.

You can’t read the phone Bible to study, it’s too tiny. Please have a tablet with a good print.
So, when they call you, how are you going to read? You are supposed to turn off your phone while you are reading your Bible.
The phone Bible is just for reference, emergency but to say all the Bible is in the phone – it’s stupidity because when you are answering calls, you can’t pray.

So, read your Bible with discipline. So, you can have a tablet but not your phone, phone should be when you want to make reference. But you want to study, how do you use your phone? Because calls will be coming in between. So, every time they call you, you’ll put God on wait.
Every time you stop reading your Bible while you are communicating with God, you are putting Him on a hold – you are saying “God, hold on; let me connect with that person.”

People don’t understand, (reading) the Bible is conversing with God – that’s why many of us get into trouble. When you are reading the Word, you are communicating with God, it’s like a telephone conversation. Every time you stop, you put Him on hold: you are saying “God, hold on, let me finish with this man” and God is not a child that you should put on a hold. When you understand some principles, you will be disciplined.
When I am reading the Bible, studying the Bible, I shut down: I study. When I am through with Him,… there are things you just want to flip through for reference purpose, maybe you are trying to prepare for message, that’s different.
But when you say this time, I am reading the Word, to prepare for the day, you shut down. If it ‘s 45 minutes, 1 hour, no mortal man calls you: you turn off your phones. When you are through with God, they can now call you.

Learn to be disciplined with God.
Can your President be talking to you; you’ll carry your phone and be talking! Is it possible?
