The charismatic result oriented Deputy Director of Army Public Relations Officer; Colonel Aminu Iliyasu of Division 6 Nigerian Army has now been redeployed to Army Headquarters-AHQ Operations Center as a Pioneer Media Coordinator at Abuja.
While at Port Harcourt, Col. Iliyasu was so vibrant so much that he brought Nigerian Army Division 6 good public image irrespective of the daunting challenges the Niger Delta region posed to his office. He worked round the clock with majority of the media outfits operating in Niger Delta with the Nationally based Newspaper and broadcast organizations where the Correspondents and Online media truly executed their responsibilities as the watch dog of the society and Col. Aminu Iliyasu was a veritable Army officer who helped his organization gain much prominence positively in the eyes of members of the public who now have positive impression about the Nigerian Army.
In his farewell note to his media colleagues he wrote parting words so touching thus “Gentlemen of the Press, am glad to inform you that I, Col. Aminu Iliyasu DDAPR (Deputy Director Army Public Relations Officer) have been posted to Army Headquarters Abuja as pioneer Media Coordinator AHQ Operations Center. My sincere gratitude to all of you for your support, understanding and cooperation showered on me throughout my tour of duty. You are beyond colleagues but a family as you all now has become part of my life.
“My reliever is Major Charles Ekeocha. I respectively request you extend the same cooperation to him as you did to me. Once more, thank you a million and one time”.

For those who have not encountered Colonel Aminu Iliyasu Deputy Director of Army Public Relations Division 6, he is one serious media officer who never tolerated bad news reportage either against his office or that of Nigeria as a country he is a core professional journalist who executes his responsibilities with passion irrespective of whose ox is gored.
