THE GAME PLANS OF ALLWELL ONYESOH AND SENATOR MAGNUS ABE

The race to occupy Brick House Rivers state seat of Political power in 2019 has just began with the game plans of Allwell Onyesoh and Magnus Abe various political gladiators re-positioning themselves to take advantage of the coming political electioneering campaign  in 2018 for soliciting for electoral votes from the eligible voting public to cast votes for the proffered choice of would be Governorship candidates. Majority of these politicians belong to the same political party but in various political pressure groups canvassing for political support for their leader who they all look up-to that will emerge as governorship flag bearer cum standard bearer of their party.

As at today there are only two popular political parties making waves in Rivers state which include Peoples Democratic Party-PDP and All Progressive Congress-APC and whereas PDP formed government at the state level with Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike been voted as popularly elected Governor of Rivers state while APC controls the Federal government with the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari as elected President of Federal Republic of Nigeria. The above scenario has made Rivers State a battle ground for politicians to show their strength and sense of character  on who wins the February 2019 Governorship election in Rivers state.

ALLWELL ONYESOH

Political activist, and University of Jos Plateau state trained English Language Special Creative Writing  ex Lecturer  Allwell Henacho Onyesoh is a man to watch on the platform of All Progressive Congress-APC  in Rivers state as he has strong pedigree in supporting a winning Governorship candidate having done the same thing in 1998/1999 when he joined forces with University of Nigeria Nsukka UNN Enugu Campus trained Medical Doctor Peter Odili against the popular chief Sergent Chidi Awuse all of Peoples Democratic Party-PDP. And Dr. Peter Odili finally won the Governorship election in 1999. Allwell Onyesoh immediately turned around successfully RESTORATION FAMILY a political pressure group of Dr. Peter Odili that later metamorphosed into PDP, he was appointed Commissioner For education 1999-2003 and Commissioner for Sports from2003 to 2007. When in 2007 he put his neck for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s Governorship candidature as against the popular PDP substitution of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi with his first cousin Barrister Celestine Omehia at the end of the legal challenge it was Amaechi’s Supreme Court Victory that instantly made Allwell Onyesoh a political juggernaut and he earned an appointment as Chairman of Senior Secondary Schools Management Board to which he performed creditably by making Amaechi’s Administration School revolution a legacy project in Rivers state history. Today, Chief Allwell Henacho Onyesoh is behind the Governorship aspiration of Senator Magnus Ngei Abe and he had joined hands with other political pressure group of Senator Magnus Abe to campaign vigorously for his emergence as All Progressive Congress- APC in Rivers state Governorship Candidate come 2018 and eventual probable 2019 Governorship election winner.

Due to his overbearing influence in supporting Senator Magnus Abe the leader of APC in Rivers state Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi suspended and replaced Chief Allwell Onyesoh from being part of his political structure in Etche Local Government Area. But Allwell Onyesoh has moved on working night and day on how to win the APC party gubernatorial election for Senator Magnus Abe and if that plan fails his option B plan remains running as a Deputy Governor for any other Governorship candidate of APC. For one Etche ethnic nationality has not produced Governor or Speaker or Chief Judge of Rivers state since its creation 50 years ago. The third plans according to City People Port Harcourt Bureau is that Chief Allwell Onyesoh will throw himself into the Governorship race should senator Magnus Abe fails to in the race finally. But how this game plan will come to fruition has remained clouded in political strategists table. Whether Senator Magnus Abe’s group will leave APC to a new political party to contest for governorship ticket is right too early to say but Senator Abe had said he remains a bonafide member of APC in Rivers state a situation that political watchers in Rivers state are saying that he may decamp if his Governorship ambition is not realized in APC.

MAGNUS ABE

This is Senator Magnus Ngei Abe the man whose ambition to be elected Governor of Rivers state come 2019 has divided All Progressive Congress-APC in Rivers state as against the popular view of  ex Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the leader of the political party in the state. Barrister Magnus Abe has strong political history from his late father who made Rivers state House of Assembly a strong lawmaking body in his days as elected lawmaker and today his son Magnus Ngei Abe has taken over from where he left and is doing very well as a probable Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress APC in Rivers State. In 1999 he was elected into Rivers state House of Assembly under All Peoples Party-APP and in 2003 he was appointed Commissioner For Information under Governor Peter Odili. In 2007 he was appointed Secretary-To-Rivers State Government-SSG while in 2011 he was elected as senator representing Rivers South-East Zone and in December 10, 2016 Electoral Rerun he won election back to the Senate. The current wave of supporters pushing for His emergence as probable APC Governorship candidate is overwhelmingly massive and spreads across the 23 Local Government of Rivers state.

One sterling quality of Senator Magnus Ngei Abe is his loyalty to the leader of APC in Rivers state and South-South and Minister For Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. At various public engagements Senator Abe has made it clear that his supporters should desist from any action against the leader of APC in his state.
