Coronavirus: Port Harcourt Power dialogue

Organisers of Port Harcourt Power Dialogue have announced a postponement of the programme saying its to keep people safe.

In an email to impending participants said it is a way of taking precaution and practising social distancing for the coronavirus epidemic. Nextier Power said it is postponing the March 2020 Port Harcourt Renewable Energy Power Dialogue until further notice.


”We appreciate your commitment to participating in the dialogue and we apologise for every inconvenience that this development may have caused you.
Please stay safe and enjoy the rest of your week.”


Nextier Power Dialogue series is sponsored by All-On to promote alternative and off-grid power sources in the Niger Delta. Emeka Okpukpara is a partner and moderator for Nextier Power dialogue which has taken place twice in Port Harcourt.

The February 2020 edition focused on highlight financial constraints limiting the acceleration of off-grid projects so as to evaluate available finance options for off-grid developers in the Niger Delta and beyond; discuss strategies to improve the bankability of off-grid developments in the Niger Delta; discuss ways to increase local financing options and evaluate how they help de-risk off-grid projects; and to analyse methods to improve consumer financing and over all off-grid affordability.
