By Ibrahim Bakare

The Rivers State Police Eagle Squad, Tuesday evening Apprehend Two men in the company of four women with more than two dozens children between the ages of two months to two years in a surprise operation in an undisclosed location in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

When the men of the anti crime unit popularly called E-squad brought the suspects to Rumuoji police divisional headquarter, mile, 1, Diobu, a mammoth crowd surged to their gate to see the suspects and the babies who were looking unkempt, malnourished and in want of good Medicare.

It is not known whether the apprehended were running a motherless home or a baby factory as words on the streets have already posited that the adults among them who seems to have no blood ties with the children were allegedly into child trafficking.

Eye witness account told Peoples 93.1FM that the state of the children was unhealthy and a serious issue that should not be allowed to happen. He added that there was something fishy about the whole thing.

At the Mile 1, Police Station, efforts to reach the Commandant of E-squad was unfruitful as the Crime Charge Officer said he was indisposed as at press time. Further enquiries posited that the suspects may have been taken into custody for interrogation.

The children and three women were seen encamped by the steps leading to the operational office of the E-SQUAD with plain clothes female officers keeping watch as at 7p.m Tuesday.
