 Students of Captain Elechi storm major roads in Port Harcourt, Thursday August 17 in Jeans Carnival rally tagged “Amapionorally” as part of their 2023 Students Union Government week.
In their customized SUG white T-shirts atop a pair of Jeans trousers and Snickers to match the students they had a very colourful street parade.
However, the spices of the colourful street rally are the female students we wore the very adorable rainbow colourful Brazilian and Caribbean Carnival customes. They gave onlookers eye-catching replica of the Caribbean Carnival or Nigeria domesticated Calabar annual carnival procession.
Ahead of Colourful street carnival,the SUG week opened on Monday August 14 with praise/prayer and fitness and sporting exercises. This was followed the next day Rag Day, Jean Carnival on Wednesday. Thursday witnessed Beauty Pageantry tagged Mr/Miss Captain Elechi Amaechi Old School. On Friday was slated for Cultural Day. On Saturday was Comrade Dinner. The week will rounded off with Thanksgiving service.
Aside political rallies that were part of electioneering campaigns and regular features on the streets of Port Harcourt and envions, the students of Captain Elechi Amadi put in honey of entertainment. Some passersby who were moved by their music joined in the irresistible gyration.
The Carnival by the Captain Elechi Amadi SUG week will remain evergreen in minds of both the students and some residents of Port Harcourt.
