APC Dumps “Change” As Slogan, Adopts “Progress”

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has adopted “Progress” as its new slogan and dumped “Change”, which it used to assume power in 2015.

 

Though the party is yet to formally amend its constitution to this effect, one of the announcers at Saturday’s ongoing convention of the party announced the change.

 

“I want to announce that when we shout APC, the appropriate response should now be Progress and not Change”, he said.

 

President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki, governors elected on the party’s platform as well as leaders of the party are attending the elective convention.

The wife of the immediate past Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, Lara, has been spotted today (Saturday 23/06/2018) at the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja after being out of the public eye since her exit from the Edo government house. It was rumored that the couple had divorced, a report which was denied.

 

Beautiful Lara was spotted beside her husband as she attended the convention where her husband, Adams Oshiomhole, is already guaranteed a chance to emerge as the next national chairman of the party after all contenders to the office stepped down for him.

 

 

About 6,000 delegates to the national convention holding in Abuja will elect 42 men and women to steer the affairs of the ruling party for the next four years.

 

Of the number, 20 have been returned unopposed, leaving 22 positions up for grabs. One of the positions that will not be contested for is that of the national chairman.

Some delegates at the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national exchanged blows while President Muhammadu Buhari was delivering his speech.

 

The cause of the confusion was not known but security officials quickly moved in to restore normalcy.

 

The aggrieved delegates also threw brooms, the party’s symbol, at each other.
